Your Mission

Tasked with saving your family and your fat king from starvation, you, a lone rat, must venture through the house of an old lady. 

Sneak around, avoid the literal army of cats and find all 4 types of cheese to save the day!

Gameplay

Take control over a small rat and navigate through 4 handcrafted levels. 

Find the cheese hidden in each room while avoiding getting detected by the roaming cats.

Few words are needed to tell you how urgent it is that your highness gets his cheese. To help you find what you're looking for, you are kindly given a list with images to guide you along your way.

But watch out! The cats will take away your cheese if they catch you before you can exit the room with it! I guess they like cheese as well?

Sneaky Rat is a short game with about 5 minutes of playtime for new players.

To add replayability, Sneaky Rat has a built-in timer operating on the Game Boy's fixed 60fps tick rate. Using this timer, which you can find on the Cheese List Screen, you can challenge yourself or your friends to see who can complete the game faster.

Credits & Others

Please note that the game may during very few moments run a bit slow due to the presence of too many actors on screen.

This game was created for the 3rd  semester at the BTS:GP as an individual project using GB Studio.

All visuals of this project were created by myself using Aseprite on Steam
Inspiration for some of the ingame Sprites (most notably the cats) were taken from Stardew Valley
